This antimicrobial examination glove provides active protection in different healthcare situations by quickly killing microorganisms in contact with the outer surface of the glove. An active pigment converts conventional oxygen into singlet oxygen O2
as soon as the glove material is exposed to light and oxygen. The singlet oxygen attacks the cell membrane of gram-positive bacteria (f.e. MRSA, VRE, etc.) causing the death of the affected microorganisms. The effectiveness ranges up to 99.999 %. Since singlet oxygen cannot be used up, its effectiveness is always guaranteed. On the other hand, singlet oxygen is volatile and therefore no permanent biocides are released.
The skin compatibility of the glove material has been confirmed by many tests: the gloves are non-sensitizing, non-irritant, non-toxic (oral) and non-cytotoxic.
In addition to its suitability as a medical examination glove, the nitrile LIOX®
with AMG technology is also certified as personal protective equipment (PPE) of category III / type C. Also suitable for the use in the medical field.
